Practice and employment


The rules for organizing the practice of Saktagan Baishev Aktobe University were developed in accordance with the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 29, 2016 No. 107 “On approval of the Rules for organizing and conducting professional practice and rules for defining organizations as bases of practice”.
The practice is aimed at the acquisition by students of skills in the chosen direction or specialty.
The practice of students is an integral part of the training programs for students of S. Baishev AU.
To improve the teaching, methodological and material support of the practice, occupational safety and health practices, and the state of the field students ’practice bases, a standing commission on the preparation and conduct of students’ practices is organized, the composition of which is approved by order of the rector.
Certain forms of cooperation between enterprises and universities represent effective ways to solve this problem.
Professional practice is defined in accordance with the working curricula and working curricula for training (familiarization), production (technology) and undergraduate.
Production practice is a great contribution to the training of future specialists and is very effective in the process of the upcoming adaptation of specialists in the enterprise.
The direction of students to all types of professional practices is issued by order of the rector, indicating the dates of passage, the base and the head of practice.
The student is issued a referral form according to the Rules.
When referring to the passage of professional practice, the student is given a work schedule of professional practice, a diary-report on the passage of professional practice.
Types, terms, scope and content of professional practice are determined by standards, standard and working curricula and programs.
The program of professional practice is coordinated with enterprises (institutions, organizations) defined as bases of practice and approved by the head of the educational institution.
Students of the correspondence (evening) form of education subject to their work in their specialty are exempt from training and industrial (technological) practice.
In this case, they submit to the university a certificate of employment and a characteristic reflecting their professional activities.
Students of the correspondence (evening) form of education perform the program of undergraduate practice.
With an organization defined as a base of professional practice, an agreement is concluded on the conduct of professional practice with an indication of its type, drawn up on the basis of the standard form of a contract for the professional practice of students.
The contract with the bases of professional practice of students of technical and vocational schools, post-secondary education, higher educational institutions is concluded no later than one month before the beginning of the practice.
The selection of the base of practice should be preceded by the work carried out by the departments to study the production and economic capabilities of enterprises, their suitability for the practice of students of a particular specialty. Concrete preparatory work begins with the distribution of students in the practice bases.
Students of the pedagogical faculty undergo practical training mainly in schools and kindergartens.
Practice places for students of technical and economic faculties are mainly concentrated in enterprises.
Students on the results of each type of professional practice report to the appropriate department, which is checked by the head and consultant and is protected by the commission established by order of the head of the department.
The results of the report protection are evaluated by a point-rating letter rating system.

The moment of professional practice






Employment of graduates

Employment of graduates is one of the most important issues in the activities of the university. The work is carried out in close contact with the city employment department of Aktobe, with the schools of the city and the region, other organizations of the city and the region.

The organization, coordination and generalization of the results of employment of graduates deals with the employment manager at the university.

Students are employed on the basis of existing applications, requests from enterprises or independently. Work on the distribution is carried out in deans and graduating departments.

Employment of graduates is carried out according to the schedule in two stages: the first is the events held in the dean's offices, the second is the final distribution conducted by the university rector's office.

The activities carried out at the faculties are the sending of letters to organizations, enterprises and institutions of the city and region, on rendering assistance in arranging graduates for work experience and further employment; conducting an organizational and explanatory conversation with students; conclusion of agreements with enterprises and organizations of the region on mutual cooperation; the participation of graduates in the "Job Fair" conducted by the city akimat and the Center for Employment; holding a job fair.

As part of job fairs held:

  • - organization of meetings with the leaders of the enterprise and organization;
  • - organization of a round table with representatives of regional enterprises;
  • - distribution of information letters for participants with full information about the conditions of participation in the fair;
  • - training graduates of the "Portfolio business person";
  • - preparation of "specialty cards", stands;

Relationships have been established with the Youth Labor Exchange, the Department of Internal Policy, the Employment Center, and Employment Agencies.

On the website of the university a section «Түлектертақтасы» was created. Where is the necessary information for graduates. State programs: “Roadmap of employment -2020”, “With diploma to the village”, “Youth practice”, as well as new vacancies and schedule of job fairs in Aktobe, electronic labor exchange. 

In order to improve the quality of training at the university, the Council of Employers was established.

Council is created by order of the rector of the university. Council meetings are convened as necessary, but at least once a year.

The Council of Employers may include representatives of education, engineering enterprises and services, scientific organizations, public and professional associations (associations), the media on the profile of the university, government bodies, as well as representatives of the university.

Among the members of the Council is the rector of the university.

The size of the Council is not regulated.

Members of the Council carry out their activities in the Council on a voluntary basis.

The Council acts on the basis of equality of its members, publicity, in close contact with the university administration and the academic council of the university.

The Council may include sections for training specialists at the university and other criteria.

Council decisions are advisory and advisory in nature.

Admission to membership of the Council and secession from the Council is carried out by order of the University Rector on the basis of a written application.

The chairman (co-chairs) of the Council and the chairmen of the sections are appointed by the rector of the university from among the members of the Council for a term of 5 years.

Decisions of the Council and its sections on matters within their competence are taken by open vote by a majority vote of those present.

The executive secretary of the Council, and the responsible secretaries of the sections are appointed by the rector from among the university staff.

The Council solves the following tasks:

  • - Assistance in solving problems in the formation of a high-quality educational environment, strengthening the educational and scientific potential of the university, taking into account the modern requirements of the labor market;
  • - promoting the development of the vocational education system, the formation of the professional competencies of graduates, taking into account the recommendations of employers;
  • - participation in the development and examination of educational programs and the conduct of professional practice, as well as in the expansion of the practice base, the implementation of joint research programs, projects and activities;
  • - assistance in employment of graduates.
